ABOUT THE TOUR

Tour departure/return location: Manuel Antonio

Tour times: 8:00am, 12:30pm

• This tour runs between January 10th and April 30th only

Tour duration: Approximately 4 hours

Tour includes: Rafting tour, guide, tropical fruit snack, and round-trip transportation to/from Manuel Antonio hotels (hotels that fall outside of the regular transportation zone may have an additional fee; leave us a comment at the bottom of this page if you wish us to confirm the transportation amount that would apply to/from your specific hotel)

Tour operator’s description: Exploding from the hills, just 35 minutes northeast from the Quepos / Manuel Antonio area, breathes the start Costa Rica’s best commercial run. Chorro section starts in the mountain village of Esquipulas. Our route carves deep into the river’s exposed bedrock, making this thrilling section of the Naranjo River an exception to the geological youth of Costa Rica. This 3km canyon delights the adventure seeker with fun drops and steep runs through 12 technical narrows. Be ready!! to bounce and squeeze through the gorge’s tight rock walls, maneuver and carve around massive boulders and bends, and sweep down drops through challenging unforgettable chutes. Within the 2 mile stretch we will tackle rapids such as, “Tail of the Dragon”, “ Chorro” and “Asteric & Obelisc”. Between runs we have the opportunity to witness untouched tropical forest yielding various species of birds such as the Chestnut Mandible Toucan, Aracaris, and several kinds of Kingfishers. This unique yet challenging opportunity with H2O offers a first hand look at Costa Rica’s bountiful nature and dominating rivers. Enjoy the rush. PURA VIDA!

• This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run. Please contact us to inquire about tour availability if your travel group is comprised of less than the tour operator’s required minimum number of participants.

• Children must be 15 years old to participate.

WHAT TO BRING FOR TOUR PARTICIPATION

• Swimsuit and/or shorts of a quick drying material
• Towel
• Sun screen
• Bug repellent
• Complete change of clothes
• Rubber-soled shoes that stay on and can get wet (strap-on sandals, tennis shoes or similar; flip flops are not recommended)
