About the tour
Tour departure/return location: Monteverde
Tour times: 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 3:00pm
Tour duration: Approximately 2-2.5 hours
Tour includes: Aerial tram ride, canopy ziplining tour, and guide

The Sky Tram gondolas rise smoothly through the rain forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. This tour is perfect for people who want to take a different approach on admiring nature, without much physical effort but still be on spot where natures exhibits all its magic. On tour you will be attended by a bilingual guide who will point out different characteristics of the flora and fauna and other interesting facts. The Sky Tram travel up the mountains to arrive in a wide observation platform on the highest point of the reserve, where you can enjoy the view and also have the possibility to walk a short trail.

Sky Trek is a thrilling zip line circuit that’s located in both of our parks, Monteverde and La Fortuna. Your tour will start riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

- This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run. Please contact us to inquire about tour availability if your travel group is comprised of less than the tour operator’s required minimum number of participants.
Minimum/maximum age/weight/height/other requirements
- Children must be at least 5 years old to participate in the Sky Trek tour as offered as part of the Sky Trek Canopy Tour and Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride.
- Individuals must be less than 300lbs to participate in the Sky Trek tour as offered as part of the Sky Trek Canopy Tour and Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride.

Hi! I am interested in the sky trek sky tram combo discount. Is it possible to book this but only go on the sky trek? With your discount it is cheaper to book both rather than just the one directly through their website.

The sky tram aerial tram ride is a mandatory part of the sky trek canopy ziplining tour because the tram ride is required to get to the top of the rainforest where the first zipline cable is located. This means that if you are interested in the sky trek canopy ziplining tour, both the sky tram aerial tram ride and sky trek canopy ziplining tour must be reserved and participated in, regardless of where the tour is booked through. Alternatively, if you were only interested in the sky tram aerial tram ride, it is possible to do this without the sky trek canopy ziplining tour, as it is possible to ride the tram up to the top of the rainforest and then back down again. However, since you mentioned that it is the sky trek tour that you are interested in, it is not possible to participate in this on its own without the sky tram aerial tram ride.
