Important: This is an add-on only attraction that can only be experienced if you plan to reserve/participate in another MidWorld Costa Rica tour, such as the Canopy Tour, the Superman Cable, the ATV Tour, or any combo tour including these activities. The Spider Free Fall activity will be completed after the principle tour, with the exception of the Superman Cable and Spider Free Fall combo.
Live the life of a spider (without the extra legs!) on our newest attraction here at MidWorld, the Spider Free Fall! Conveniently located behind our Superman Line, this activity provides up close views of both primary and secondary rainforest. This type of free fall is absolutely unique in design, is found exclusively at MidWorld, and tests your inner web-slinger with the following features:
- Climbing “Web” – Ascend our diagonal rope net, which starts on the ground and slowly rises to a treetop platform, sitting at nearly 45 meters (150 ft)
- Guided Free Fall – The first of its kind in the Manuel Antonio area, experience a free fall using DEUS technology
- Unique Descent – Participants drop at a rate of 2 meters/sec while moving laterally on a treetop zipline, creating a smooth gliding motion to the bottom
- Soft Landing – A second net awaits on the other side of the ravine, making for a comfortable and cushioned landing
- Kid Friendly – Kids ages 9+ are welcome!
- Lunch Included – Enjoy a traditional, home cooked Costa Rican meal with your tour
- Transportation Provided – Learn a little more about Costa Rica during a guided tour to and from our park in our air-conditioned tour vans
Please note that this activity requires a moderate level of physicality, and may not be comfortable for all guests. The tour includes a moderate climb and two short hikes (one moderate uphill) before and after the tour.
