        Hello,

        I want to buy 4 day pass tickets to the Springs Resort for Dec. 31. I see that the price is $80. When I contacted the Springs Resort, they told me the price is $125 plus tax and that there are only 4 spots left for that date. I asked whether they will honor your tickets if I buy tickets on your website.

        This is how they responded: “we cannot honor 3rd parties rates. You could try booking but I don’t think that rate is for this date (Dec 31).”

        Will your rate really work for a party of 4 on Dec 31??

          Hi Sarah!

          Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! There’s a lot of different elements at play here, but I can explain all of them to help you understand our operation and the resort’s response. 🙂

          The resort is correct in that they won’t honor 3rd party rates. What they mean by that is that they won’t allow you to make a reservation directly through them at our discounted rate. In order to access our discounted rate, you need to be a Pura Vida! eh? member and submit the request for the hot springs pass through our website, not through the resort directly.

          When they mention that the rate isn’t for December 31st, they’re correct in saying that, too. As noted on the hot springs pass’s listing page on our website, we aren’t able to book hot springs passes for visits between December 16th, 2023, and January 3rd, 2024, so a booking on December 31st wouldn’t be possible.

          With respect to whether our rates work, they absolutely do! We’ve worked with the Springs Resort for roughly 15 years, having been one of the first groups of people invited to visit their property when they opened in 2008. That said, due to the blackout period between December 16th and January 3rd, and due to the fact that we require 10 days’ notice to process any discount order, unfortunately we won’t be able to provide you with a discount for a visit in three days’ time, on December 31st.
