Welcome to Manuel Antonio Expeditions’ Mangrove tour. Our experienced naturalist guides will take you on a special journey through this amazing habitat that features caimans, boa constrictors, crocodiles, monkeys and over 100 species of local and migrating birds. Damas Island is one of the last major mangrove areas, protected in the central pacific. This place fulfills an important role in Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity. It is not uncommon to spot herons, sand pipers, egrets and many other endemic or migrant bird species. You may get the chance to see the white-face monkeys up close or even see the rare silky anteater, all from the comfort of your boat. Our boats have capacity for 10 passengers and use 4 stroke engines to provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Damas Mangrove is one of the most recommended tours for wildlife in Manuel Antonio. Day and night tours are available, depending on high tide.
