Hi,
I’m planning our trip to Costa Rica and am looking through your database for activities and discounts. Few questions:
1. What is your cancellation policy for tours? How much in advance can I cancel a tour without penalties? I’m currently looking at “DISCOUNT: Sky Trek Canopy Tour (Ziplining), Sky Walk Hanging Bridges Tour, And Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride – Adult (From La Fortuna / Operated by Sky Adventures)” and “DISCOUNT: Balsa River Rafting Tour (Class 2/3) – Adult (From La Fortuna / Operated by Desafio Adventure Company)”
2. We are 2 adult and 2 kids. Since I have to purchase these tickets separately due to price difference do they count as one tour for the 4 of us or two?
3. Is complimentary transportation provided for these trips from Casa Luna Hotel? On the way back, can I be dropped off to a different location on the way and then picked up later?
4. I’m still unsure on the number of tours I’ll be booking through your site. How can I upgrade/downgrade membership? Pay for 2 now and then pay again if I want to buy 1 or 2 more?
5. How quickly can you confirm reservations? I’m looking to purchase tours for Dec 21, 22Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in our discounts! I can certainly answer your questions for you. 🙂
1. We don’t have a cancelation policy of our own, we simply enforce the cancelation policies of the individual tour operators. So, the cancelation policies that will apply will depend on the exact tours you want to experience, and which tour operators run those tours. Since you’re currently considering tours run by Sky Adventures and Desafio Adventure Company, please see these links (for Sky Adventures and Desafio Adventure Company).
2. We count discounts by tour/activity, not traveler type. So, if a group of 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) want to do the Balsa River Rafting Tour, we’d count this as 1 tour discount, even though technically the adult discounts and the child discounts are entered separately on an order. Also, when activities are grouped together as combos (as is the case for the Sky Trek, Sky Walk, and Sky Tram Combo), we count these as 1 tour discount. So, in your case, both adults and both children (4 people in total) can do the Sky Trek, Sky Walk, and Sky Tram Combo, and the entire experience will be counted as one discount.
3. Some tour operators provide complimentary transportation and some do not. Desafio Adventure Company is a tour operator that does, so transportation to/from Casa Luna would be free! Sky Adventures is a tour operator that does not (they charge $17+tax/person if you want to add round-trip transportation to any one of their tours). You’ll see this optional charge noted on the tour listing page as the “Transportation Add-On.”
4. No problem! Our memberships are entirely flexible. So, start with the level you feel would be best for now, and we can upgrade or downgrade your membership from there. Once you submit an order, all of our correspondence will be handled via private email (as opposed to this public forum), so you can simply tell us you’d like to upgrade or downgrade your membership, and we’ll make that happen. If it’s an upgrade, we’ll send you a PayPal invoice for the added expense. If it’s a downgrade, we’ll refund the difference in price between the membership you purchased and the membership you need instantly via PayPal.
5. Processing times vary by operator. Some respond to our requests within a few hours and others respond within a few days. So long as an order for discounts is placed at least 10 days prior to the requested tour date (this is our policy), we’ll be able to get the discounts processed for you in time.
