This description is for safari float clients who have rented a car or have their own transportation. We have ample, safe parking at our Tenorio Outpost, so feel free to leave your vehicle behind.

This is the ultimate activity for nature lovers of all ages, especially children! It’s also perfect for couples or large groups who want to spend some quality time and relax together in the middle of a tropical paradise! Your eagle-eyed guide will paddle and steer your raft as he points out many species of plants and animals that live in the jungle.

Spot howler monkeys, lizards, crocodiles, and even river otters, plus an incredible amount of tropical birds such as ospreys, boat-billed herons, parrots, and kingfishers. About halfway down the river, you are able to see the river from land, as you pull over to the side to have an enjoyable and very refreshing snack of tropical fruit and ice-cold spring water.

Then, make your way down the rest of the river where an open-air 4×4 jeep will be waiting for you! Hop on board and ride the bumpy backroad through the scenic landscape until you reach a local restaurant where you’ll sit down to a delicious Costa Rican lunch before heading back to your hotel in Guanacaste. What a perfect day!

  • This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run. Please contact us to inquire about tour availability if your travel group is comprised of less than the tour operator’s required minimum number of participants.

  • Children must be at least 6 years old to participate.
  • It is recommended that individuals older than 85 years should not participate in this tour.
