      Hi Christina!

Thank you for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

We aren’t able to comment on availability until after an order has been submitted, only because I could tell you now that a particular item is available, but it may become unavailable by the time you place an order, so commenting in advance isn’t very helpful. The fastest way to learn whether or not there is availability (and obtain that availability) for particular items is to place an order. Note that our memberships are 100% refundable, so if you purchase a membership and place an order for a tour discount only to find out later that the tour you want isn’t available, we’ll refund your membership payment 100%, so you aren’t out anything. 🙂

        Hey Theresa!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

May is still a few months away, so it’s tough to say with certainty which discounts will/will not be available at that time. But my best guess is that we won’t have the Selvatura discounts back in stock by then. To avoid you missing out on tour availability later, I’d recommend booking that tour direct. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any other (in stock) discounts we can provide you with! I know you mentioned that they’re limited, but we currently have 195 discounts in stock (at the time of writing this), so there are still plenty of others to choose from! 🙂

          Hi Linda!

Thank you so much for purchasing the Moon Costa Rica guide. 🙂 I’m sorry if the page where you can submit your purchase receipt isn’t working. The company that processes those receipts for us has a quota, and we’ve been hitting it often as of late given that it’s the high season and so many people are traveling/planning trips. If you aren’t able to submit your book purchase receipt through the submission page, you can do so via email here. Once we receive your purchase receipt, we’ll set up your free DIY Costa Rica account so you can begin viewing the private content on that site.

              Hi Jessica!

Thanks so much for checking in about this! Unfortunately, the tour operator who previously offered the option to visit La Paz and Poas on the way between San Jose and La Fortuna no longer does so. 🙁 Also, you’re right; most tours that include transportation between San Jose and La Fortuna are adventurous tours. There is an option to do the Sarapiqui River Jungle Safari Tour on the way from San Jose to La Fortuna, though, in case that option interests your group. It is a water-based activity, but it’s a mild, slow-moving boat tour, not a white-water rafting tour like the other options, so perhaps it will work?

                Hi James!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

I’m sorry you’re frustrated, but I believe I can help.

One quick question for you: Are you currently a Pura Vida! eh? member? I checked our records of Pura Vida! eh? accounts and cannot see your name listed. I can see your name listed in our records of DIY Costa Rica accounts, though, so I have no doubt that you’re a DIY Costa Rica member. I’m wondering if perhaps you’re confusing the two accounts/websites.

To confirm, the two accounts (Pura Vida! eh? and DIY Costa Rica) are separate; each one is tied to a separate website/initiative of ours.

A DIY Costa Rica account provides access to all of the protected content on our DIY Costa Rica website (https://www.diycostarica.com), including our Costa Rica Destination Tool, our Costa Rica Recommendations Map, and all of our private Costa Rica recommendations.

A Pura Vida! eh? account provides access to the checkout page on our Pura Vida! eh? website (https://puravidaeh.ca), where you can submit an order for discounts.

If you’re not able to log in to Pura Vida! eh? (i.e., if you aren’t able to access the checkout page), especially if you’re trying to enter credentials (i.e., the username and password) that are associated with a DIY Costa Rica account, the problem is likely that you’re not yet a Pura Vida! eh? member. If this is the case, you can quickly become a Pura Vida! eh? member here. (Please keep an eye on your junk mail folder and trash bin following payment through PayPal because the account registration email may end up there.) Once you’ve registered your Pura Vida! eh? account, you’ll be able to log in, access the checkout page, and submit an order for discounts.

                  Hi Cindy!

I just caught your newest forum post. To confirm, were you able to see the response we left you on your original forum post here? https://puravidaeh.ca/costa-rica-help/topic/cant-login-to-disounts/

As explained in that response, if you’re trying to log in to our Pura Vida! eh? Inc. website (this website where you’re viewing the forum), your DIY Costa Rica credentials won’t work because our DIY Costa Rica and Pura Vida! eh? websites/projects are separate from each other. Are you trying to log into the Pura Vida! eh? website or the DIY Costa Rica website? If it’s our DIY Costa Rica website that you’re trying to log into, and you’re experiencing a problem over there, I can still help you with that, I’ll just need to know what the exact problem is that you’re experiencing. On DIY Costa Rica, when you try to log in, are you receiving an error message? Or, are you able to log into your DIY Costa Rica account successfully, but are unable to view the protected content on that website?

                  Until soon!

                          Hi Tina!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 I can certainly answer your question for you.

Sky Adventures (at both their Arenal/La Fortuna park and their Monteverde park) apply a $10 per person surcharge for tours experienced during peak season periods, one of which is the first week of April, as you note. So, for calculating their original tour prices during the peak season, you can simply add $10 per person to the original tour rate, regardless of whether the person is an adult, a student (13-25 years), or a child (minimum age for participation in the tour you select, up to 12 years). Since our discount percentage for Sky Adventures is 25%, this means that the surcharge applied to our discounted rates for Sky Adventures’s tours experienced during peak season periods is $7.50 per person (i.e., 25% of $10). So, for calculating our discounted prices for Sky Adventures’s tours experienced during peak season periods, you should add $7.50 per person to the discounted rates noted on our website, regardless of whether the person is an adult, a student, or a child. Here’s an example to illustrate this:

Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (regular season pricing):
                          Original tour rate: $89.00/adult, $74.00/student, and $61.00/child
Our discounted tour rate: $66.75/adult, $55.50/student, and $45.75/child

Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (peak season pricing):
Original tour rate ($10 surcharge applied): $99.00/adult, $84.00/student, and $71.00/child
Our discounted tour rate ($7.50 surcharge applied): $74.25/adult, $63.00/student, and $53.25/child

Note that all of the prices above are plus tax (Sky Adventures charges 8% tax until June 30th, 2023, then 13% tax beginning July 1st, 2023).

                          Pura vida! 🙂

Thanks so much for these questions! 🙂 You’ve probably found your way to this forum through our related blog post: Costa Rica Tour Transportation: How To Use Tours To Travel Between Destinations. Unfortunately, the operator who used to provide the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Coffee Tour Combo to Arenal, and the Canopy Zip-lining Tour from Arenal, no longer offers those tour/transport options. There are several other tours that can be arranged to include transportation between cities, though. I’ve just updated the above blog post to provide a current list. Feel free to re-visit that article, and if any of the new tour/transport options interest you, don’t hesitate to let us know!

Great question! Can I ask you for a favor? If you’re a member of our DIY Costa Rica site, would you mind re-posting your question above on our forum over on that website? (You can find the forum here: https://www.diycostarica.com/diy-costa-rica-forum/). That’s the forum where we can answer all kinds of Costa Rica travel questions, including questions about restaurants. This particular forum, on our Pura Vida! eh? website, is specific to queries regarding our Pura Vida! eh? discounts (like your other question that pertained to Manuel Antonio discounts, which we answered for you here: https://puravidaeh.ca/costa-rica-help/topic/discounts-on-tours-from-manuel-antonio/).

Thanks so much for checking in about these discounts! 🙂

At the moment, we don’t have discounts for surfing in Manuel Antonio, or for zip-lining in Manuel Antonio because MidWorld Costa Rica remains closed. We do have discounts for mangrove kayaking, though. You can view the discount for that activity here: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/mangrove-kayaking-tour-manuel-antonio-amigos-del-rio/

Thanks so much for checking in about this! Our discount for the Arenal Sky Trek, Sky Walk, and Sky Tram Combo is for the combo option that already includes a guide for the hanging bridges, so there’s no need to pay extra for it. 🙂
