      Hi Dawn!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

We don’t currently have discounts for La Paz or multiday rafting tours, but we do have discounts for the Monteverde Sky Adventures Park and the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. This is the link to where you can find all of the discounts we currently have for the Monteverde area, including tours through Sky Adventures and the reserve: https://puravidaeh.ca/product-category/destinations/monteverde-tours/

        Hi Garett!

Thank you so much for your interest in our Moon Costa Rica / DIY Costa Rica promotion! 🙂 I apologize for the online form; we’ve had so many entries lately that we’ve hit the quota for the current period. In the meantime, feel free to send me a copy of your purchase receipt by email at info@puravidaeh.ca (please also indicate the username that you’d like me to associate with your free DIY Costa Rica account) and I’ll get that account set up for you right away.

          Hi Karen!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

The reason why our website won’t allow you to select the tour date is that the date falls within the next 10 days. Because we require a minimum of 10 days notice to process discount orders, unfortunately, it isn’t possible to obtain the discount for a tour within the next few days. In this case, I’d recommend going ahead and booking directly with the tour operator.

            Hi AMAR JHA!

Great question! Due to its distance from town, the Arenal Observatory Lodge is not considered a “La Fortuna hotel” by the majority of tour operators in town, which means that most will charge an extra fee to provide pick-up/drop-off services at the property.

              Hi AMAR JHA!

Thanks so much for your interest in our business! 🙂

To confirm, Pura Vida! eh? is a day tour discount provider only, not a travel agency. We don’t handle arrangements for items other than day tours, such as arrangements for transportation services or accommodations.

                Hi Heather!

Thanks so much for your interest in our DIY Costa Rica project! 🙂

The account registration email gets sent out automatically following payment through PayPal, so you should have received it already. I just pulled up the payment record to see if I could spot a problem, and I noticed that the email was sent to an email address that’s different than the gmail account you provided when you submitted your comment above. The email address that’s associated with your DIY Costa Rica account, which is most likely the email address that’s associated with your PayPal account, ends in “.edu”–would you have access to that email account? If so, you should be able to find the registration email in there. If you no longer have access to that “.edu” email account, or you do but for some reason our registration email just didn’t make it there, simply report back here to let me know and I can send the registration link to your gmail account instead.

As a heads up, once you access the registration link and officially register your DIY Costa Rica account, please update the email address on the registration page if you’d rather have your gmail account, not the “.edu” account, associated with your DIY Costa Rica account. 🙂

                  Hi Jules!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

Sky Adventures is one of the fastest tour operator partners we work with, so we can rush this discount request for you today. Go ahead and place the discount order through our website for April 12th (as a heads up, the 9:00am tour time is already sold out for that day, so please elect to use the discount for a tour at a different tour time), and we can process the order for you. In order to choose April 12th as the tour date, you can either write in the date (i.e., write “April 12th 2023”) in the tour date field, as opposed to selecting the tour date on the mini calendar, or else you can select a random date on the mini calendar and then indicate in the order notes box on the checkout page that the correct date is April 12th 2023.

                  Until soon!

                    Hey Emily!

Thanks so much for letting us know! I can confirm that we received your PayPal payment without issue. The account registration email is sent out automatically following PayPal payment, so you should have received it within 10 minutes or so after you paid, but it’s possible the email got lost in cyberspace. I did notice that the email address that the registration email was sent to is different than the gmail address you contacted us from (an address that ends in “brb.com”), so it’s possible the registration email went to an old email account of yours that’s still associated with your PayPal account but no longer monitored. In any case, not to worry, I just sent you a separate email (to the gmail email address) with a link to the registration page where you can register your Pura Vida! eh? member account. If, for some reason, that email didn’t reach you, feel free to report back here and I’ll try getting it to you a different way. 🙂

                        Hey Chris!

Thanks so much for your question! 🙂 I’ll keep my response short, only because this forum is for Pura Vida! eh? operations only (i.e., Costa Rica day tours, not transportation services, car rentals, or accommodations), but in responding I will just check: which email address did you contact Mapache through?

                          Hi Sandra!

Great question! Unfortunately, we don’t have discounts for volcano tours at the moment, other than discounts for Arenal Volcano tours, but those explore the foothills of the volcano given that crater access isn’t permitted.

                            Hi Theresa!

Thanks so much for checking in about this. This topic is very important to us because we never want to take customers away from other companies. If the questions you asked were general tour questions, and they didn’t take up much of the tour operator’s time, that’s okay. Where we draw the line is when travelers work with tour operators to make tour arrangements, or they spend a lot of time being back and forth over email. We wouldn’t feel comfortable working with a traveler after that because the traveler would truly be the tour operator’s client, not ours. We do understand that travelers have questions about tours, and we prefer travelers to ask those questions to us so we can avoid taking up the tour operator’s time with them (especially if the traveler is planning to request a discount through us), but I can also appreciate that sometimes travelers reach out to tour operators directly. So long as you haven’t taken up much of the tour operator’s time, or provided them with concrete booking details (such as a tour date, pick-up place, number of participants, etc.) that would lead them to create a reservation in their system for you, you should be fine.

                            Pura vida! 🙂

                              Hey TK!

Great question! The answer depends on how soon you plan to travel, and whether there are any in-stock discounts that interest you.

If there are in-stock and out-of-stock discounts that interest you at this time, it would be best to get a membership so you can access the discounts that are currently in stock. Calculate the membership level you buy based on the number of in-stock discounts you want to access. That way, you don’t buy a larger membership than you need if the out-of-stock discounts you want don’t come back in stock. If they do come back in stock, you can always upgrade your membership later so you can access them.

If none of our in-stock discounts interest you, then I’d recommend holding off on getting a membership. If you plan to travel soon, the discounts likely won’t come back in stock before you need them. If you plan to travel several weeks or months in the future, though, you may want to keep an eye on our website. We change discount stock statuses from time to time, so it’s possible that the discounts that are currently out of stock will come back in stock later. If that happens, you’ll need a membership to access them, but you can always buy the membership then, not now in advance.

                                Hi Theresa!

Great question! Pura Vida! eh? Inc. provides discounts for day tours only, not discounts for other items like transportation services, accommodations, or car rentals. We do offer a car rental discount, but that’s available to all travelers for free (a Pura Vida! eh? membership is not required to access that discount). You can find it over on our blog, the Costa Rica Travel Blog.

                                  Hi Alice!

Tabacon is considered a La Fortuna hotel, which means that tour operators that provide complimentary transportation to/from La Fortuna hotels with their tours will do so without issue or extra charge to/from Tabacon. This being said, some tour operators don’t include complimentary transportation (to/from any hotels) with their tours, and Sky Adventures is one of them. They can offer transportation to/from La Fortuna for an extra charge, though, which is currently $19.00/person plus tax. You’ll see this optional add-on listed on the tour operator’s page on our website as the “Transportation Option.” If you select it, Sky Adventures’s round-trip transportation fee will be added to the total cost.

Let me know if you have any other questions! 🙂
