      Hi Richard!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts. 🙂 Quick question… were you hoping to participate in one of Sky Adventures tours on Wednesday? Or are you simply arriving into the country on Wednesday and are planning to participate in one of Sky Adventures tours on a day shortly after that, such as Thursday, Friday, or Saturday?

      Until soon! 🙂

        Hey Jennifer!

Quick question: Which specific zipline tour do you have in mind? Transportation policies vary across tour operators, but once we learn which zipline tour you’re interested in experiencing, we can confirm whether the tour operator can provide complimentary transportation to/from Princesa de la Luna.

        Until soon! 🙂

          Good morning Robyn!

Thanks so much for checking in about this! I’m not sure which exact rafting tour you plan to experience from La Fortuna/Arenal, but assuming it is one of the rafting tours that we offer a discount for (the Pacuare River Rafting Tour, the Sarapiqui River Rafting Tour, or the Tenorio River Rafting Tour), fortunately, transportation to/from Hotel Villas Vilma is free! 🙂

            Hi Jennifer!

Thanks so much for your interest and for reaching out! 🙂

We offer a variety of services that help guide travelers through the process of planning their own trip to Costa Rica. Most of the services are spread out over different websites.

For one, this website (Pura Vida! eh? Inc.) is where you’ll find discounts for hundreds of Costa Rica day tours and activities. Orders placed through this website get sent to Costa Rican tour operators so you can book them at our exclusive discounted rates.

For hotels (as well as transportation services such as shuttle services and car rentals), we don’t book these for travelers but we do offer free promotion codes that you’re welcome to use to save money when you book with hotels and transportation service providers directly. You can find the promotion codes on our blog here: https://costaricatravelblog.com/free-costa-rica-discount-codes/

In addition, our Costa Rica Travel Blog (https://costaricatravelblog.com/) provides hundreds of articles that you can access to supplement your vacation planning. If you’d rather not sift through so much online content, our paperback travel guidebook called “Moon Costa Rica” (published by Moon Travel Guides) is a succinct compilation of nearly everything you need to know about planning a trip to Costa Rica. The book is available to purchase in bookstores around the globe as well as through online sellers like Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Moon-Costa-Rica-Travel-Guide/dp/1640490868/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=moon+costa+rica&qid=1628447198&sr=8-1).

Lastly, our sister project DIY Costa Rica (https://www.diycostarica.com) documents all of our top/favorite things in Costa Rica, which we don’t disclose in detail through our other projects. DIY Costa Rica is also where you’ll find our handy Costa Rica Destination Tool (https://www.diycostarica.com/about-the-costa-rica-destination-tool/), which we designed to help you quickly and easily narrow down which communities, towns, or cities you should visit in Costa Rica according to your specific wants, needs, and preferences.

If there’s something else you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to let me know and I can confirm whether one of our projects offers it. 🙂

              Hey Heather!

Thanks so much for checking in! Pura Vida! eh? Inc. provides discounts for tours and activities only, so that’s why you won’t spot the free car rental discount (or any of our free hotel discounts) on this site. 🙂 Those discounts are still available on our blog, though. Here’s a link to where you can find them: https://costaricatravelblog.com/free-costa-rica-discount-codes/

The car rental, shuttle, and hotel discounts remain valid this year, however, a lot of Costa Rican companies are temporarily closed or running on limited staff right now due to the pandemic and the fact that it’s the low season, so you may find that it’s tough to get through to some people. (This is a general statement, not specific to the companies we offer discounts through.) We recommend trying to reach out to companies regardless, but with an extra ounce of patience since tourism operations countrywide this year are rather unusual.

Thanks so much for your interest! 🙂 Unfortunately, we aren’t able to process same-day requests, so we won’t be able to help you out with a hot springs pass for today’s date. 🙁

                    Hello Bronwyn!

Thanks so much for checking in about this! 🙂

For tour transportation to/from Hotel Magic Mountain, this hotel does fall within Sky Adventures’ normal pick-up/drop-off zone in La Fortuna. This being said, Sky Adventures is a tour operator that does not automatically include round-trip transportation to/from any hotels in any of their tour rates (some tour operators in Costa Rica automatically include round-trip transportation in their rates and others do not; our related blog post https://costaricatravelblog.com/costa-rica-tour-transportation-hotel-pick-ups-drop-offs/ offers more information about this if you’re interested in further reading). Sky Adventures charges an extra fee (you’ll see this noted as the optional “Transportation Option” on their tour listing pages on our website) to any/all travelers who want them to provide round-trip transportation with their tours. Sky Adventures’ prices vary by hotel location, but since Hotel Magic Mountain falls within their normal transportation zone, their regular, flat rate, round-trip transportation cost of $17 per person to/from La Fortuna hotels applies.

No problem! Thank you so much for letting us know. We’ve officially updated the tour time in our records. You should have received an email from us a few minutes ago that simply confirms that we’ve begun processing your discount request. We’ll be in touch again shortly with more info! 🙂

                        Hi Wendy!

                        Welcome to CR! 🙂

Shoot! I wish we could help you out with our hot springs discounts last-minute, but unfortunately, many of the tour operators we work with (including all but one of our hot springs partners) require several days’ notice from us. (This is the reason why we require 10 days’ notice from travelers for all discount orders.) 🙁 This means that it is too late for us to provide you with a discount for a hot springs pass for this week, but don’t hesitate to let us know if there are other discounts we can provide you with for later tour dates (if you’ll be in the country for a while) as we’d be more than happy to help you out with those!

As for our tips and info, fortunately, you can find this content (and so much more) over on our blog, the Costa Rica Travel Blog (https://costaricatravelblog.com). It’s free and available whenever you need it. 🙂 Wishing you a safe and wonderful trip!

                          Hey Arianne!

Normally we would love to be able to help you out but EcoTermales requires 7 days’ notice from the tour operator we work with for the hot springs pass discount, so, unfortunately, it is too late for us to provide you with a discount for the pass. 🙁 Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are other discounts we can provide you with for later tour dates, though, as we’d be more than happy to help you out with those!

Fortunately, we do not have a cancelation policy of our own. We know that life happens and changes are inevitable, so we don’t mind if you need to cancel or change your plans, and we don’t charge any fees or apply any penalties in the event of cancelations. With respect to our memberships, if you purchase a particular “Discount Level” (i.e., membership) in order to access our tour discounts and you later need to cancel your trip to Costa Rica, we’ll refund your entire Discount Level payment—no questions asked. If you purchase a particular Discount Level and you need to downgrade to a Lower Discount level because your travel plans changed and you don’t require as many tour discounts (or the tour operator doesn’t have availability for the tour discounts you want), we’ll refund the difference in price between the two Discount Levels. If you accidentally purchased the wrong Discount Level, we’ll refund that error too. To help put your mind at ease, you’ll only ever pay for the tour discounts you use, not a penny more.

With respect to your chosen Costa Rica day tour(s), we are required to enforce the cancelation policy/policies of the tour operator(s) you’ve chosen for your trip. Since you’re interested in the Sky Trek Canopy Tour, the current policy for Sky Adventures (the Sky Trek Canopy Tour operator) says that you will be able to cancel your reservation and get a 100% refund if the cancelation is made at least 48 hours before the tour date (for groups of 1-11 people) or at least 7 days before the tour date (for groups of 12 or more people). Here’s a link to where you can find more information about Sky Adventures’s policies: https://puravidaeh.ca/partnerpolicies/sky-adventures/

Let me know if you have other questions! 🙂

                              Hello Regina!

Quick question… which hot springs property were you wanting to visit? If it’s a place like EcoTermales, they likely won’t let you in early as they split their passes throughout the day to purposely be closed during the hour between 4:00pm and 5:00pm (likely to clean the property or to make sure that everyone who purchased a day pass, which ends at 4:00pm, has a chance to leave before the evening pass visitors begin arriving at 5:00pm). If you’re not set on a particular hot springs property, the Springs Resort allows visitors to arrive at any time of the day, as does Los Lagos, so with either of these options you could plan to arrive at your preferred time of 4:00pm.

                              Pura vida! 🙂

                                Hi Yuriy!

As a follow-up to our earlier chat, here’s a link to our child discount for the Sky River Drift Tubing Tour, Sky Trek Canopy Tour (Ziplining), And Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-river-drift-tubing-tour-sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-child-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/

For your convenience, here are links to the adult and student discounts for the same tour:

                                Adult discount: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-river-drift-tubing-tour-sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-adult-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/

                                Student discount: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-river-drift-tubing-tour-sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-student-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/

Since you mentioned that your children are ages 6 and 9, please take note that in order for either one to participate in the Sky River Drift Tubing Tour, Sky Trek Canopy Tour (Ziplining), And Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride (specifically the tubing component), they need to be at least 1.4 meters tall. Though the minimum age limit of 5 years is a guideline (since children can vary in height), the tour operator will enforce the minimum height limit.

If your children are shorter than 1.4 meters tall, as an alternative option, you could instead request the Sky Trek Canopy Tour (which automatically includes the Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride). It doesn’t have the 1.4-meter requirement.

                                Pura vida! 🙂

                                  Hey Ashley!

Thanks so much for visiting our website. The Dreams Las Mareas resort sits further up the coast than Brasilito; it nears Bahia Salinas, which is a bay just south of the border that Costa Rica shares with Nicaragua. If you’ll be traveling from Brasilito, the drive to Dreams Las Mareas will take about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

                                  Pura vida! 🙂
