KeymasterHi Ellis!
Thanks so much for your message and for letting us know! I can confirm that we received your PayPal payment without issue. Were you able to receive the account registration email? It’s an automated email that gets sent out immediately following PayPal payment. When I saw your question on our forum (above), I also sent you a follow-up email, which contained a copy of the registration link (just in case the first email never reached you). If you didn’t receive either of those two messages, would it be possible to check your junk mail folder and trash bins? The registration email contains a link, and many email providers mark it as spam, so it’s possible the emails have ended up there.
Alternatively, it’s possible that there is a typing error in your email address. I don’t want to post your private email here in the public forum, but in an attempt to be discreet, I can tell you that the email address you used to make the payment through PayPal had an underscore (_) in it between the letters “s” and “r” but the email address you used to contact us through this forum did not. Do you have two email addresses: one with an underscore and one without an underscore? If not, the problem of you not receiving the registration email is likely due to an error that was made when you inputted your email address during the payment process. Since the two emails we sent you earlier today were sent to the email address with an underscore in it, if this turns out to be the problem, we can re-send the messages to the email address that doesn’t have the underscore in it.

KeymasterHi Kelly!
Thanks so much for letting us know! Just to confirm, you’re talking about the link to register your DIY Costa Rica account, not a Pura Vida! eh? account, correct? I checked our records and can see a payment from you for DIY Costa Rica access (not Pura Vida! eh? access), so I’m assuming that’s the account in question.
Also to check, do you have access to your email that ends with “sold.com”? I ask because that’s the email address associated with your DIY Costa Rica account, so the automated registration email would have been sent to that email address, not to the email address you used to contact us through this forum, which ends in “gmail.com”. Registration emails often end up in junk mail folders and/or trash bins since they contain a link, so if the email isn’t in your inbox in that account, it’s likely in one of those two bins/folders.
If something happens that the automated registration email didn’t make it to your “sold.com” address at all, or if you no longer have access to that email account, just let me know and I can register your DIY Costa Rica account for you on our end. All I’ll need to receive from you is the username you’d like to associate with your DIY Costa Rica account.

KeymasterHi Leslie!
Ok no problem! Your DIY Costa Rica account was set up previously when you originally registered the account. So, all should be working well (the account shows as “active” on our end). One thing I did notice, though, is that you mentioned above that your username is “leslie” (without quotation marks) but our records show that the username you selected was “Leslie” (without quotation marks, and with a capital “L”). Perhaps this is the issue? When you have a moment, would you mind trying to log in to your DIY Costa Rica account on our DIY Costa Rica website (you can do so here: https://www.diycostarica.com/membership-login/) and using the username “Leslie” (without quotation marks and with a capital “L”) when you do? That should do the trick, but if for some reason you still can’t get in, simply report back here and I’ll reset the account for you. 🙂
Until soon!

KeymasterHi Leslie!
Thank you so much for your interest! I can certainly help. 🙂
Quick question: Are you currently a member of our Pura Vida! eh? website? I ask because I checked our records of Pura Vida! eh? member accounts and I didn’t see your name registered. I can see your name registered in our records of members of DIY Costa Rica (our sister site), though. To confirm, the two websites (and accounts for each) are different: the DIY Costa Rica account provides access to all of the protected content on our DIY Costa Rica website, including our Costa Rica Destination Tool, whereas the Pura Vida! eh? account provides access to the checkout page on our Pura Vida! eh? website (this website you’re currently on) where you can submit an order for discounts.
Since you mentioned that you can’t log in, to check, are you trying to log into our Pura Vida! eh? website or our DIY Costa Rica website? If you’re trying to log into our Pura Vida! eh? website, then the issue you’re experiencing is that you’re not yet a Pura Vida! eh? member. If this is the case, you can quickly become a Pura Vida! eh? member on this page on our website (https://puravidaeh.ca/membership-join/). Once you’re a member of our Pura Vida! eh? site and are logged in to your Pura Vida! eh? account, you’ll be able to submit an order (through our Pura Vida! eh? website) for the discount(s) that you want to access for your trip.
Alternatively, if you meant that it’s our DIY Costa Rica website that you aren’t able to log into, just let me know by replying to this forum thread and I can reset your DIY Costa Rica member account using a temporary password that will let you in. 🙂

KeymasterHi Gerry!
Great question! To be honest, I cannot say for sure as I don’t have a copy of each hot spring property’s policies on file to reference. That being said, I’ve been to every public hot springs property in La Fortuna, and I’ve viewed the policies at each, and I don’t recall discovering one that permits clothing-optional soaks. I believe each property requires bathers to wear bathing attire at all times. I’m fairly certain of this, but I’m not 100% (any one of the properties could have changed their policies recently, too) so if there’s one or a few that you’re interested in, I’d recommend reaching out to them directly to have them confirm their current bathing policy.

KeymasterHi Em!
Great question! 🙂 The answer depends on which exact tour(s) you’re considering experiencing because some tour operators provide transportation with their tours and others do not. Of the tour operators that provide transportation with their tours, most can arrange pick-ups and drop-offs at (or at a property very close to) the bus station in Monteverde because the station exists within a popular shopping plaza.

KeymasterHi Yana!
I’m so sorry! I just spotted the mention of Hotel San Bosco in the order notes on the side. I apologize for not seeing this before.
Yes! The tour operator provides complimentary pick-ups and drop-offs at Hotel San Bosco, so they’ll include this for you for free. 🙂

KeymasterHi Yana!
No problem at all! Thanks so much for letting us know. I’ve updated the date on our end.
Quick question: With your discount order, you selected the option to “Include transport only if it’s free” but I couldn’t spot the name of your La Fortuna hotel. Whereabouts in La Fortuna do you plan to stay?

KeymasterHey Jessica!
Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts, and for letting us know that you didn’t receive the registration email! That email is automated and (unfortunately) often gets marked as spam because it contains a link. I’ve just sent you a second email containing the registratio link–hopefully you received it! It may be in your junk mail or trash bin folders.

KeymasterHey Dea!
Thank you so much for your interest in our DIY Costa Rica project, and also for your interest in Moon Costa Rica, our Costa Rica guidebook! 🙂
We’re offering a promotion right now that awards free access to DIY Costa Rica to people who purchase Moon Costa Rica, so if you want (since you mentioned you’ve already purchased the Moon Costa Rica book), you can email me a copy of your Moon Costa Rica purchase receipt (or send me a screenshot of your online Moon Costa Rica purchase) and I can register your free DIY Costa Rica account for you on our end. The best email to send your receipt/screenshot to is: info@puravidaeh.ca
When you email me the receipt or screenshot, please also let me know which username you’d like to associate with your DIY Costa Rica account, and I’ll use that username (as well as a temporary password, which I’ll email you) to set up the account. 🙂
Until soon!

KeymasterHi Trojanmom!
I had a question about your recent orders, which I just sent you via email a few minutes ago. In that email, I answered your question above about an Arenal pick-up, but in case that email didn’t reach you for some reason, just let us know and we can re-send it. 🙂
