      Good morning Geeta!

I’m sorry for taking a day to respond to your comment! I was away from my desk yesterday but am back at it this morning. 🙂

I sent an email last week about the Guanacaste tours and the refund options (two options, depending on how you’d like to proceed with the tour discounts), but I also just re-sent it in case it was missed the first time or ended up in a junk/trash folder. If something happens that you didn’t receive it again, would you please report back here so I can try to get it to you in a different way?

      Thank you! 🙂

          Hello Sébastien!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

With respect to the discount arrangement, that’s correct! Sky Adventures’s student rate applies to current students between the ages of 13 and 24, so in your case, you would request a discount for 2 adults and 4 students.

If you want to participate in Sky Adventures’s Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo in La Fortuna/Arenal, these would be the links to the discounts you need:

          La Fortuna/Arenal Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo – Adult
          La Fortuna/Arenal Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo – Student

If you want to participate in Sky Adventures’s Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo in Monteverde, these would be the links to the discounts you need:

Monteverde Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo – Adult
Monteverde Sky Trek/Sky Walk/Sky Tram Combo – Student

When an order for discounts for one or more of Sky Adventures’s tours is placed through our website, it is forwarded to Sky Adventures so they can create a reservation in their system. Provided there is availability for the date and time that you request, Sky Adventures will create a reservation for you and will provide a payment link that you can use to pay them directly for the tour (the payment link they provide will be in the amount of our total discounted rate as opposed to their original rate). Once they receive the tour payment from you, you’ll receive your tour discount voucher, which serves as the official confirmation for the tour. More information about the straightforward process can be found on our How Pura Vida! eh? Works page here, if needed.

          Pura vida! 🙂

              Hey Geeta!

Thanks so much for your very kind comments! I have no doubt your family will make incredible, beautiful memories too. 🙂

You’ve selected some really great options. The Vandara Pass and the Arenal Highlights Tour combine several elements, so you’ll get a variety of experiences out of both of those. The Rio Celeste Tour is a good option if you want to see Rio Celeste and its namesake waterfall, and/or if you like to hike. So far, you’ve got hiking, hanging bridges, the Arenal Volcano, Rio Celeste, waterfalls, zip-lining, horseback riding, and mud bath/hot springs covered, which is a lot! There are a few other activities I could recommend, but most operate from the La Fortuna/Arenal area, which you’ll already be touring during the Arenal Highlights Tour. I’m not sure if you have an interest in visiting that area twice, or planning a 2-day trip to the Arenal area, which would require you to spend a night someplace in Arenal and away from the JW Marriott.

As far as date changes go, most tour operators are very flexible and will allow date changes whenever availability permits and provided the changes aren’t made last-minute. (Change requests within a day or two of the tour date may be tough to accommodate if arrangements have already been made for your group; for example, if food or entrance fees have already been purchased.) Availability can be tough to come by at certain times of the year (I’m not sure when you plan to travel), so it may not be possible to make a date change if there isn’t space for your group on the new date that you’re looking at, but provided space is available, most tour operators will accept the change without issue.

                Hello Tara!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

Fortunately, all three of those tour operators are fairly quick to get back to us, so we can process the discount requests for you despite the dates falling within the next 10 days (assuming, of course, that you haven’t already been in touch with the tour operators directly about the tours). In order for us to do that, please submit an official discount order through our website today. Note that the little calendar on our website won’t allow you to select your preferred dates because they’re within the next 10 days, but you can simply select random dates on the calendar and then indicate in the notes section on the checkout page which dates are the correct dates. I’ll make sure the discount requests are submitted for the correct dates as per your note on the checkout page.

                  Hey Dawn!

No problem at all! Thanks so much for letting us know that you no longer have access to the email address that’s associated with your PayPal account. I just sent an email containing the registration link to the email address you supplied in your comment above, and I’ve gone ahead and blanked that out for you (simply for confidentiality reasons) so it’s no longer visible in our public forum.

                    Hey Tina!

Great question! We do have a discount for an ATV tour out of Manuel Antonio (this discount: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/atv-tour-adult-manuel-antonio-midworld-costa-rica/), but it’s for Midworld Costa Rica’s ATV Tour, and unfortunately, Midworld Costa Rica hasn’t yet reopened following their closure due to the pandemic. If your trip isn’t for a while, you can wait to see if they reopen before you plan to travel, but if your trip is around the corner, it’s unlikely they’ll reopen before you’re here.

If your time in La Fortuna will permit experiencing the ATV Tour there, we do have a discount for an ATV Tour in La Fortuna that may interest you: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/atv-tour-adult-la-fortuna-original-arenal-atv/

                      Hey Aria!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 I would love to help you out, but unfortunately, according to tour operator cancelation policies, we aren’t able to accept last-minute requests for discounts. 🙁

If there are any other discounts we can help you with for later dates during your visit (assuming you’ll be here for another week), don’t hesitate to let us know!

                        Hi Tina!

Absolutely! There are two main options here, either Desafio Adventure Company’s Mambo Combo Tour, which combines their canyoning tour with a white-water rafting tour down the Balsa River, or Pure Trek’s Canyoning and Rafting Combo Tour, which combines their canyoning tour with a white-water rafting tour down the Balsa River. Here are links to our discounts (and additional information) for both:

                            Hi Jessica!

Thanks so much for your message and for letting me know! To confirm, the registration email was sent out automatically following your PayPal payment, so you should have received it by now. I just checked our records and can see that the registration email was sent to an email address ending in “gmail.co”. (This is either the email address that’s associated with your PayPal account, or, if you don’t have a PayPal account, it’s the email address you entered when you paid through PayPal.) I noticed that you posted this forum comment from an email address that ends in “gmail.com” so I’m assuming that’s your primary email address. Do you still have access to the email account that ends in “gmail.co” (i.e., the account that the registration email was sent to)? If not, or if the “gmail.co” email address was entered by mistake and you meant to enter a “gmail.com” email address instead, that’s no problem, I can re-send the registration link to that correct email account instead. 🙂

                              Hi Jessica!

Thanks so much for your message and for letting me know! Quick question, just to clarify: the payment that you made was intended for access to DIY Costa Rica (our sister site), not Pura Vida! eh? (this site), correct? To confirm, we received your payment for access to DIY Costa Rica (the registration email for that site was sent on June 22nd) but we didn’t receive a payment for access to Pura Vida! eh? (I’m not sure if this is correct, or if you meant to purchase access to Pura Vida! eh? but purchased access to DIY Costa Rica instead).

Also to confirm, the registration email that was sent on June 22nd was sent to the email address that’s associated with your PayPal account (the last 8 characters of that account are “tdoc.com”). I noticed that you posted this forum comment from a gmail.com email address, which I’m assuming is your primary email address. Do you still have access to the email account that’s associated with your PayPal account? If so, the registration email should be in your inbox, junk folder, or trash folder of that account. If you no longer have access to the email account that’s associated with your PayPal account, just let me know and I can re-send the registration link to your gmail account. 🙂

                                  Hey Melissa!

Thanks so much for checking in about this! 🙂

For tour transportation to/from the hotel at the Paradise Hot Springs, the hotel does fall within Sky Adventures’ normal pick-up/drop-off zone in La Fortuna. This being said, Sky Adventures is a tour operator that does not automatically include round-trip transportation to/from any hotels in any of their tour rates (some tour operators in Costa Rica automatically include round-trip transportation in their rates and others do not; our related blog post https://costaricatravelblog.com/costa-rica-tour-transportation-hotel-pick-ups-drop-offs/ offers more information about this if you’re interested in further reading). Sky Adventures charges an extra fee (you’ll see this noted as the optional “Transportation Option” on their tour listing pages on our website) to any/all travelers who want them to provide round-trip transportation with their tours. Sky Adventures’ prices vary by hotel location, but since the hotel at the Paradise Hot Springs falls within their normal transportation zone, their regular, flat rate, round-trip transportation cost of $17.00 (per person plus tax) to/from La Fortuna hotels applies.

                                  Pura vida! 🙂
