We are going to be short on time with one day in Montaverde. If we choose the 830 tour, are we able to drive to the starting point instead of taking a shuttle so that we have our car and can hike and then leave when we need to afterwards? Any discount for not needing a shuttle?

Is there an additional fee to hike in the Santa Elena preserve after our canopy and bridge tours?

        Thank you.

          Hello Kevin!

Great questions! I can certainly answer them for you. 🙂

Yes! You can absolutely drive yourselves to and from the Selvatura Park if you would prefer to save yourselves some time, especially after you’ve completed participating in the on-site activities, so you can leave right away. Unfortunately there’s no difference in price if you drive yourselves to the Selvatura Park as round-trip transportation to/from Monteverde hotels is a complimentary service provided by Selvatura.

For hiking the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, if you wish to do so, there would be an additional fee for this as it is an entirely separate activity. Though the Selvatura Park and the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve near one another (and fall along the same road), they’re separate attractions with separate entrances and are owned by separate entities. Once you leave the Selvatura Park, you can drive yourselves up the road to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve if you like, pay the reserve’s entrance fee, and hike their on-site trails on your own (guided reserve tours are also available, however they require advance reservation). Though it’s best to have the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve confirm their exact rates (these may have recently changed for 2020), the last recorded entry fee we have on file is $16 per adult.

          Pura vida! 🙂

            Hello,
I am interesting in the Selvature’s Canopy and Hanging Bridges tour Cor 11st February, is it still available?
I would like 2 books. If it is possible.

            Thanks

              Hello Joel!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discount for Selvatura’s Canopy Tour (Ziplining) and Hanging Bridges (Unguided)! 🙂

I just checked Selvatura’s website and the good news is, they’re still showing availability for February 11th at their 8:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 2:30pm time slots (note: these are time slots for the canopy tour; for an unguided walk through the hanging bridges, you can go at the time of your choosing). The bad news is, unfortunately we won’t be able to help you secure our discount for a tour for tomorrow. At this time of year (i.e., the the high season), due to tour operator policies and heavy demand for our discounts, we can only process orders made a minimum of 7 days prior to a traveler’s desired tour date.

I’m so sorry we won’t be able to help you in this case, but I hope you’re still able to experience the Selvatura Park! If you plan to stay in Costa Rica for a while, don’t hesitate to reach out to us again if there are other tours or activities we can help you save money on at a later date as we’d be more than happy to assist you. 🙂

              Pura vida!
