KeymasterHi Johanna!
Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂
We do have discounts for the Arenal Highlights Tour (Hanging Bridges, Volcano Tour, and Waterfall Tour) with Baldi Hot Springs. There is no maximum group size for our discounts, so we can certainly apply it to a group of 5 people. For convenience, you can find the adult discount for the activity here:

KeymasterHi Yvonne!
Yes! The Arenal Waterfall Lodge Villas qualifies for the tour operator’s complimentary transportation service. 🙂
As for your mother, I don’t foresee her age being a problem. I have yet to hear of a client being denied entry to a hot springs property based on them exceeding a maximum age limit. I believe the maximum age limit provided is more of a suggestion given that hot springs have the potential to increase health risks (e.g., cause changes to blood pressure and lightheadedness, which could result in falls), which are extra concerning for the elderly.

Absolutely! You can certainly plan to participate in the activities separately, even on different days if you wish. Here is a link to our discount for the horseback riding tour:

KeymasterHayley, I know we’ve already been in touch about this discount via email, but in case any other travelers come across this post, I thought I’d add links to the Arenal Volcano Tour and La Fortuna Waterfall Tour Combo discounts, which are provided below:

KeymasterHi RU!
I can confirm that Arenal Kioro is considered a La Fortuna hotel by tour operators, so tour operators that include complimentary transportation to/from La Fortuna hotels in their rates, such as Desafio Adventure Company (the operator of the Arenal Highlights and Rio Celeste tours), will be able to provide transportation to/from Arenal Kioro for free. 🙂

May 23, 2023 at 9:32 am in reply to: Confirming Chira glamping is within transportation area #107739,Nikki
KeymasterHi Charlotte!
Thanks so much for checking in about this! 🙂
Chira Glamping is considered a Monteverde hotel, which means that tour operators that provide complimentary transportation to/from Monteverde hotels with their tours will do so without issue or extra charge to/from Chira. This being said, some tour operators don’t include complimentary transportation (to/from any hotels) with their tours, and Sky Adventures is one of them. They can offer transportation to/from Monteverde hotels for an extra charge, though, which is currently $10.00/person plus tax. You’ll see this optional add-on listed on the tour operator’s page on our website as the “Transportation Option.” If you select it, Sky Adventures’s round-trip transportation fee will be added to the total cost.
Let me know if you have any other questions! 🙂

KeymasterHey Sam!
Quick question: When do you plan to travel? We are looking at adding some Tortuguero tour discounts to our site, but that may not be for a while.
For your question about the Monteverde tour to/from Playas del Coco, just to clarify your question, do you mean can Playas del Coco be used as a pick-up and drop-off place for the Monteverde Tour? Or do you mean can the Monteverde tour to/from Playas del Coco be used as a tour that you take from one destination to the next and don’t return to the departing location (i.e., can you get picked up in Playas del Coco and dropped off in Monteverde, or vice versa)?
Until soon!

KeymasterHey RU!
Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts. 🙂
Unfortunately, at the moment, we don’t have any discounts for tours at Curi Cancha. We do have discounts for the Arenal Highlights Tour and the Rio Celeste Tour, though, and I can confirm that Arenal Kioro qualifies for the tour operator’s complimentary transportation service with these tours.

KeymasterHi Kelly!
Thank you so much for your interest in our DIY Costa Rica project! Thanks also for letting us know you’re having trouble logging in. I’ve just reset your DIY Costa Rica account on our end. When you have a moment, would you mind trying to log in to your DIY Costa Rica account again? In case there was a glitch in the system before, it should be flushed out now. (You may need to clear your browser’s cache once more, to view the site following the reset.) Don’t hesitate to report back here again if the issue persists, and I can provide a different solution. 🙂

KeymasterHey Gillian!
Done! 🙂 I just sent the registration link to your gmail account. In case you didn’t receive it, let me know here, and I can try getting it to you a different way.

KeymasterHi Gillian!
Thanks so much for letting us know! 🙂 We received your PayPal payment without issue. I just pulled up our member accounts and can see that the registration email was sent to your hotmail address, not your gmail address, which you’ve used to contact us through this forum. Do you still have access to your hotmail address? If so, the registration email should be in your inbox or a folder there. If you no longer have access to your hotmail address (for example, if it’s an old email that’s associated with your PayPal account), or if you checked your hotmail account and still cannot find the registration email, not to worry, simply report back here to let me know and I can send the registration link to your gmail account instead.

KeymasterHi John!
This quick message is simply to let you know that I officially registered your account for you using the username you selected, and I just sent you a private email that contains the temporary password that I assigned to your account. If, for some reason, that email didn’t reach you, feel free to report back here and I’ll try emailing it to you a different way. 🙂
Also, to keep personal information confidential, I replaced some of the details in your post above with XXs.

KeymasterHi again Lee!
I just caught your second question here. 🙂
For transportation to Sky Adventures’s Arenal Park, Sky Adventures can provide this at the cost of $17/person plus tax if you plan to participate in one of their tours. Alternatively, in a rental car, you can simply drive yourselves to Sky Adventures’s Arenal Park (note that from the Volcano Lodge, the park is in the opposite direction of La Fortuna) and park in Sky Adventures’s parking lot. The parking lot is large and parking is free.
Also, now that I know that you plan to stay at the Volcano Lodge, I can let you know that in response to your other question here (https://puravidaeh.ca/costa-rica-help/topic/transportation-from-lafortuna/#post-107471), Volcano Lodge qualifies for the Pacuare River Rafting Tour operator’s complimentary pick-up/drop-off service, so transportation for that tour would be free. 🙂

KeymasterHi Lee!
Thanks so much for your interest in our Pacuare River Rafting Tour discount. Quick question for you: when asking about transportation options, do you mean transportation options for pick-up/drop-off services in La Fortuna to/from La Fortuna hotels? Or do you mean transportation options for onward travel to a new destination following the tour, which you plan to take from La Fortuna?
If you meant the former, feel free to let me know where you plan to stay in La Fortuna (i.e., at which hotel) and I can let you know if it qualifies for the tour operator’s complimentary transportation service.
If you meant the latter, the Pacuare River Rafting Tour from La Fortuna can be arranged to include a drop-off in any of the following cities/towns: San Jose, Alajuela (at one central location only), Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Cahuita, Limon (at one central location only), Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, or Turrialba.

KeymasterHi Katharine!
Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂
In general, most tours run rain or shine. This is because it can rain here in the rainforest for two-thirds of the year, so the rain isn’t a deterrent. That being said, if the rainfall is so heavy that it compromises the safety of the tour, the tour operator will cancel the activity. In these cases, they’ll either offer a different tour instead, reschedule the original tour, or provide a refund. Because experiencing the rain is part of the Costa Rica experience, especially during green season months, most tour operators won’t provide refunds for cancelations made by travelers last minute because of rain.
