KeymasterHi Karen!
Thanks so much for your interest in our discount for the Sky Trek Canopy Tour in La Fortuna/Arenal! Here’s a link to our adult discount for the tour for quick reference:
Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (adult): https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-adult-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/
*If you need them, links to student and child discounts for the Sky Trek Canopy Tour are provided on the adult discount page listed above.Since you mentioned you’re not able to meet the minimum 10-day requirement to submit an order through our website, I’ll just ask, which date is your preferred tour date for the Sky Trek Canopy Tour? Depending on the date, we may still be able to make it work! 🙂
For the cancelation policy, we do not have a cancelation policy of our own. We know that life happens and changes are inevitable, so we don’t mind if you need to cancel or change your plans, and we don’t charge any fees or apply any penalties in the event of cancelations. With respect to our memberships, if you purchase a particular “Discount Level” (i.e., membership) in order to access our tour discounts and you later need to cancel your trip to Costa Rica, we’ll refund your entire Discount Level payment—no questions asked. If you purchase a particular Discount Level and you need to downgrade to a Lower Discount level because your travel plans changed and you don’t require as many tour discounts (or the tour operator doesn’t have availability for the tour discounts you want), we’ll refund the difference in price between the two Discount Levels. If you accidentally purchased the wrong Discount Level, we’ll refund that error too. To help put your mind at ease, you’ll only ever pay for the tour discounts you use, not a penny more.
With respect to your chosen Costa Rica day tours, we are required to enforce the cancelation policy/policies of the tour operator(s) you choose for your trip. For example, if you choose to participate in Sky Adventures’s Sky Trek Canopy Tour, Sky Adventures’s cancelation policy would apply to bookings for that tour. To date, Sky Adventures’s cancelation policy is that tours can be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours prior to the tour date for groups of 1-11 people, or else up to 7 days prior to the tour date for groups of 12 or more people.
In moving forward from here, simply comment below with the date that you’re considering experiencing the Sky Trek Canopy Tour and I’ll get back to you asap to let you know if we can provide the discount for it.
Until soon! 🙂

KeymasterHi Bill!
Thanks so much for your comment and advice! 🙂 We do use a search feature; it’s located a bit further up the page where the white box with the “Looking for something specific? Type it here…” text is found. If you type something in that box, it will produce applicable discounts. Also, our main menu (the black bar at the top of the website) gives the option to search discounts by tour location (among other search options, including activity type, tour operator name, traveler type, tour theme, difficulty level, and adrenaline level) so that’s another search option you’re welcome to use. If you click on the “Search by location” option above, the drop-down menu will display the Costa Rica destinations where discounts are currently available. At the moment, we have discounts that span 18 different destinations in Costa Rica but the Osa, unfortunately, is not one of them. 🙁
Whereabouts do you plan to explore on the Osa and at what time of year do you plan to visit?

KeymasterHello Melanie!
Thank you for your interest in this! It’s very kind of you to consider bringing items from home to donate while you’re in Costa Rica. 🙂
Normally, I’d supply you with specifics to help with the soccer shoes/equipment donation project we run, but unfortunately, this particular project is temporarily suspended due to Covid. There are other donation projects that are running, though; the organization Pack For A Purpose is one. They’re a good place to start; they work with several companies in various regions of the country so there should be at least one company near the destination(s) you plan to visit. Here’s a link to the page that outlines which Costa Rican companies you can donate items to through Pack For A Purpose: https://www.packforapurpose.org/destinations/central-america/costa-rica/). If you click on the name of a Costa Rican business on the page, it will show you their donation “needs,” which are items they ask travelers to bring from home. These range from school and reference materials, art/music items, and toys, to first aid and personal grooming supplies. Sadly, the “needs” lists are endless.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

KeymasterHello Ally!
Let me answer your questions for you! 🙂
#1. Yes! The Sky Trek Canopy Tour is the one where you take the complimentary gondola (called the Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride) up to the start of the forest where the first zip-line cable is located. The tour is run by Sky Adventures, which has two adventure parks in Costa Rica (excluding their third park, which is a hot springs park over in the Rincon de la Vieja area of Costa Rica): one adventure park in the Arenal region (about a half-hour drive west of downtown La Fortuna) and one adventure park in the Monteverde region (about a 10-minute drive north of downtown Santa Elena). These are links to our discounts for the Sky Trek Canopy Tour in either place:
Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (adult): https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-adult-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/
Monteverde Sky Trek Canopy Tour (adult): https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-adult-monteverde-sky-adventures/
*If you need them, links to student and child discounts for the Sky Trek Canopy Tour are provided on the adult discount pages listed above.Assuming you’d like to experience the La Fortuna/Arenal tour, not the Monteverde tour, you’ll want to place an order for the discount advertised on the first of the two pages linked to above.
For more information about both tours, don’t miss the articles we wrote on our Costa Rica Travel Blog:
Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour Ziplining: Everything You Need To Know: https://costaricatravelblog.com/arenal-sky-trek-canopy-ziplining-tour/
Monteverde Sky Trek Canopy Tour Ziplining: Everything You Need To Know: https://costaricatravelblog.com/monteverde-sky-trek-canopy-ziplining-tour/#2. For the tour times mentioned on our website, these are typically tour start times. When a hotel pick-up is provided by the tour operator, it’s usually set for a time before the tour start time. The exact pick-up time depends on a few factors, mainly the hotel you plan to stay at, and it’s sent to us by the tour operator when they confirm a tour. Usually, depending on the tour operator, pick-up times range from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours prior to the tour start time. Since you’re staying at Lost Iguana, this changes things a bit because the hotel doesn’t fall within most La Fortuna tour operators’ normal pick-up zones. For Sky Adventures, this tour operator can provide transportation to/from Lost Iguana, but only at specific times of the day (right now, they’re running transport from Lost Iguana at 7:00am, 8:15am, and 2:15pm), and depending on availability. If you’ll have your own rental car, I’d recommend driving yourselves to/from the Arenal Sky Adventures Park to save yourself some time, as well as the tour operator’s transportation fee. (If you drive yourselves, you’ll be asked to arrive at the park 15 minutes before your tour start time, so if you choose the 9:00am tour, you should plan to arrive no later than 8:45am.) If you won’t have a rental car, though, that’s okay—you can have Sky Adventures plan to provide transportation to/from the hotel, it just may require an earlier morning start.

KeymasterHi Annie!
Absolutely! 🙂 The tour operator does offer this option, though the price is slightly more expensive than the tour that picks up and drops off in Papagayo. From La Fortuna to Papagayo, the original price of the Tenorio River Rafting Tour is $154/person and our discounted rate—as of today’s date—is $123.20/person (rates are subject to change at any time, so it’s best to secure our discounts as soon as you decide which you’d like for your trip).
If the option from La Fortuna to Papagayo is the tour you’d like, this would be the discount to request through our website: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/tenorio-river-rafting-tour-adult-from-papagayo-operated-by-desafio-adventure-company/ Though the link is for the rafting tour to/from Papagayo, if you mention in the “Extra Info – Order Notes” section on the Checkout page that you’d like the tour to start from La Fortuna, we can adjust the order on our end to reflect the correct locations and pricing.
Of course and as always, if you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask. 🙂

KeymasterHello Per (and family)!
It’s great to hear that you’ve selected Costa Rica for your upcoming trip!
About the insurance, unfortunately, it does add up quickly. This website (https://www.visitcostarica.com/en/costa-rica/planning-your-trip/entry-requirements), which is managed by the Costa Rican Tourism Board, explains that you can use insurance purchased outside of Costa Rica if you prefer, so long as it provides the coverage you need, and so long as you’re able to obtain appropriate proof of the insurance coverage before coming to Costa Rica. Maybe this would end up being a less expensive option for your family?
Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels,
Pura vida! 🙂

KeymasterHey Christopher!
No problem at all! Happy to help. 🙂 Additional information and links are provided in our related blog post titled 5-Minute Read: Costa Rica Covid Entry And Exit Requirements. For quick access, you can view it here: https://costaricatravelblog.com/costa-rica-covid-entry-and-exit-requirements/

KeymasterHello Christopher!
Haha, go figure. 🤣
About your Covid-related questions, I’ll start with a disclaimer, though it pretty much goes without saying given the past year we’ve all experienced: Covid-related policies, restrictions, and requirements can change at any time. With this disclaimer in mind, instead of listing what the current requirements are (which may change between now and when you plan to visit), I’ll provide you with some helpful links where you can find up-to-date information. I’d recommend keeping an eye on these pages to see if anything changes between now and the day you leave home.
Costa Rica Entry Requirements: https://www.visitcostarica.com/en/costa-rica/planning-your-trip/entry-requirements
This website is run by Costa Rica’s tourism board, so it targets international visitors. It has an entire section dedicated to Covid-related entry requirements. It also provides links to the following two resources:The Costa Rica Health Pass: https://salud.go.cr/
To date, this document is required to be completed no sooner than 72 hours prior to you entering Costa Rica.US Entry Requirements (for return travel from Costa Rica): https://www.ict.go.cr/es/documentos-institucionales/material-de-apoyo-coronavirus/pruebas-covid-para-usa/1886-faq-requirements-for-travel-to-eeuu/file.html
This document is a compilation of requirements for travel back to the US (assuming you’re American). In addition, the website for the US Embassy in Costa Rica (https://cr.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/), as well as Costa Rica’s page on the CDC’s website (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/covid-4/coronavirus-costa-rica), has helpful information but it’s similar to what you’ll find in the aforementioned document.
As you’ll learn by browsing the information that’s available in these resources, the US requires you to get a Covid test in Costa Rica before you return home (even if you’ve been vaccinated), and Costa Rica does require you to purchase special insurance, so, unfortunately, the travel agent was right. Links to where you can get tested and purchase insurance are provided in the resources linked to above. 🙂

KeymasterGood morning Christine!
No problem at all! Thanks so much for letting us know. Just to confirm, we saw your note and can confirm that the hot springs request was made for July 3rd, not the 4th. 🙂
Please stay tuned to your email (possibly your junk mail folder) for updates.
Until soon!

KeymasterHi Ruth!
The tour operator typically only includes transport from popular hotels located in and around downtown San Jose but they can offer transport from popular hotels located in downtown Alajuela (including the Alajuela City Hotel and Guesthouse) too and at no extra cost. (The tour operator will apply an extra fee for transport from hotels on the outskirts of Alajuela, as well as the outskirts of San Jose.)

KeymasterHello Virginia!
I sent the below message to your personal email too, but in case you don’t catch that, I thought I’d add it below for you too. 🙂
No problem at all! As soon as we received your message, I sent Sky Adventures the modification request to switch the tour request to today at 12:30pm. Sky Adventures just sent us the updated confirmation, so you’re all set!
Hope you have a wonderful time this afternoon! 🙂

KeymasterHi daB,
A request for June 20th falls within the 10-day window but I’ll see what we can do! In order to secure the discount, please place an official order through our website asap. The adult and student discounts for the Sky Limit and Sky Trek/Tram Combo Tour are now visible; you can find them here:
Adult: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-limit-tour-sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-adult-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/
Student: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-limit-tour-sky-trek-canopy-tour-ziplining-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-student-la-fortuna-sky-adventures/When you choose your preferred tour date, the little calendar that pops up won’t allow you to choose June 20th because our system is designed to start accepting discount requests from July 1st onward. But you can type in the date manually, which should work. Also, the order will automatically add tax because Costa Rica’s new tax program comes into effect on July 1st and, as explained above, our system is designed to function beginning July 1st. I’ll remove the tax for you, though, when the order is received on our end. Since you’re participating in the tour during June (i.e., prior to July 1st), you won’t pay Sky Adventures any tax.
As a heads up, if there are any other discounts you are interested in, the latest we will be able to accept orders for them (for June 20th or June 21st) is tonight at midnight.
Until soon!
,Nikki
KeymasterHello daB!
We can offer discounts off all of Sky Adventures tours, just some discounts aren’t yet visible to the public on our website. If it’s the Sky Limit and Sky Trek/Sky Tram Combo Tour that you’re interested in, I can request that our discount for that be added to our site asap so you can secure the discount today.
Also, there are some timeslots available that we’re permitted to access for the Sky Limit and Sky Trek/Sky Tram Combo if that’s your preference. Availability is subject to other reservations, but at the current moment, there is space at 10:30am on June 20th and at 9:00am and 10:30am on June 21st. How many people are in your travel group?
Until soon!
