      Hello Laura!

Great questions! The safari float tour is available to run daily, but it requires a minimum of two people to run. Are you a lone traveler or traveling with a group? If you’re part of a group, the tour operator can coordinate the activity for any day of the year. With respect to booking in advance, our site requires that discount orders be placed a minimum of 10 days prior to your requested tour date, but we recommend booking as soon as you decide on tours and activities, only to increase your chances of obtaining availability for the tour(s) you want, especially if you plan to travel during the high season. As for the tour operator’s complimentary transportation zones, these are a bit tough to describe (in general, they’re the downtown core in San Jose, and the downtown core in La Fortuna plus hotels as far west of downtown La Fortuna as the Tabacon Resort), but feel free to send us the name of the hostel(s) you’re looking at, and we can let you know if they qualify for free transportation.

        Hey Alyssa!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

We are planning to have the Big AMA discount back in stock, but I don’t foresee that happening within the next three weeks. To avoid you missing out on tour availability later, I’d recommend booking that tour direct. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any other (in stock) discounts we can provide you with!

          Hi Priscilla!

Thanks so much for checking in about this! Fortunately, I can confirm that Kokoro qualifies for complimentary tour transportation provided by Desafio Adventure Company, the Arenal Highlights Tour operator. 🙂

            Hey Hari!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! April is still a few months away, so it’s tough to say with certainty which discounts will/will not be available at that time. But my best guess is that we won’t have the Selvatura discounts back in stock by then. To avoid you missing out on tour availability later, I’d recommend booking that tour direct. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any other (in stock) discounts we can provide you with! 🙂

              Hi Lisa!

Our e-course is designed to send out one email every day for 10 days, and unfortunately, there isn’t an option to speed up that process. That said, I can personally send you copies of all of the course emails today, if you like. That means you’ll essentially receive each email in the e-course twice–once from me today, and again every day for the next 10 days as per the e-course’s design. I suppose you could just delete those duplicate emails as they arrive over the next 10 days. If this is okay with you, just let me know and I can blast send all 10 emails your way over the next little while.

              Pura vida! 🙂

                Hey Stan!

That’s correct! The Sky Walk hanging bridges are a different experience entirely. They’re at the same park as the Sky Tram aerial tram and the Sky Trek canopy zip-lining tour (Sky Adventures’s Park); however, like the Sky Tram aerial tram and the Sky Trek canopy zip-lining tour activities, the Sky Walk hanging bridges also require a reservation (regardless of whether you want to tour the hanging bridges on your own or with a guide).

Also to confirm, there is no entrance fee to enter the park, but the park is private property. That means that when you reserve an activity operated by Sky Adventures (i.e., their Sky Tram aerial tram ride, their Sky Trek canopy zip-lining tour, their Sky Walk hanging bridges, or a combination of these activities), you don’t need to pay an additional park entrance fee; the cost of the activity is the only cost you’ll pay. That said, you cannot visit the park unless you have a reservation for one of Sky Adventures’s activities, so there’s no option to visit the park, pay an entrance fee, and roam around like people do at national parks, for example.

Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have other questions! 🙂

Thanks so much for checking in about this! At the moment, we only have discounts for 1-day Pacuare River Rafting Tour experiences. We change our discounts regularly, though. When do you plan to travel?

                    Hi Pam!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 Two quick questions for you: Which specific tour are you interested in experiencing from Guanacaste to La Fortuna, and whereabouts in Guanacaste do you plan to travel from?

                    Until soon!

                      Hey Jason!

You’re absolutely correct! Most tours require a minimum of 2 people to run, but those two individuals don’t need to belong to the same travel group. So, that means that you can request the tour as a lone traveler, we just need the tour operator to have at least one other person for you to participate in the tour with on the same date in order for them to confirm it with you. Fortunately, February is part of the high season, and most tours have at least one person signed up for every tour time on every day of the month, especially tours run in the popular tourist towns that you plan to visit (San Jose, La Fortuna, and Manuel Antonio). My best recommendation would be to go ahead and place an order for the discounts you want because chances are the tours will be running with other participants. If you happen to select a tour that isn’t overly popular and doesn’t have another person signed up for the same day, we’ll let you know so you can select a different activity or cancel the request altogether. 🙂

                              Hi again Camille!

Sure thing! 🙂 As soon as I finish writing this response, I’ll send you the DIY Costa Rica account registration link via private email. (If I post that here, in the public forum, anyone could use it to access your DIY Costa Rica account.)

With respect to a Pura Vida! eh? Inc. account, the pricing is based on the number of people in your travel group and the number of tour discounts you want to access. It’s a one-time use membership, meaning that you purchase the membership in order to have access to a particular booking (or bookings, depending on the membership level you purchase), and once that booking has been made, the membership is complete. Pura Vida! eh? Inc. memberships don’t have a validity period of 1 year like DIY Costa Rica memberships do; the two projects/websites/accounts are very different.

To confirm, once you activate your DIY Costa Rica account, you can access the information currently on the DIY Costa Rica website, and new information we add to it, for a period of one year.

If you decide you’d like to access one or more of the tour discounts that you see on our Pura Vida! eh? Inc. website, that access will require the purchase of a Pura Vida! eh? Inc. membership. For example, if you have a group of 4 and you want all of them to access a discount we offer for a canopy zip-lining tour, you’d purchase Discount Level 3 for $19.99, which awards you access to one of our tour discounts for a total of 4 people (you can learn more about the Discount Level here), and use it place an order for our canopy zip-lining tour discount. Later, say in a few months from now, if you have another group of 4 people who want to access a discount we offer for a rafting tour, you’d need to purchase Discount Level 3 for $19.99 again, and that time use it to place an order for our rafting tour discount.

If you want/need clarification on our pricing at any point over the next year while you’re in-country and hosting groups, feel free to use this forum to send me the number of people in your travel group and the number (and names) of the specific tours you want to experience, and I can let you know what the Pura Vida! eh? Inc. membership cost would be. 🙂

Pura vida, and all the best to you in Chepe (San José)!

                                Hi Rachel!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 I can certainly answer your question for you.

Sky Adventures (at both their Arenal/La Fortuna park and their Monteverde park) apply a $10 per person surcharge for tours experienced during peak season periods, one of which is the first week of April, as you note. So, for calculating their original tour prices during the peak season, you can simply add $10 per person to the original tour rate, regardless of whether the person is an adult, a student, or a child. Since our discount percentage for Sky Adventures is 25%, this means that the surcharge applied to our discounted rates for Sky Adventures’s tours experienced during peak season periods is $7.50 per person (i.e., 25% of $10). So, for calculating our discounted prices for Sky Adventures’s tours experienced during peak season periods, you should add $7.50 per person to the discounted rates noted on our website, regardless of whether the person is an adult, a student, or a child. Here’s an example to illustrate this:

Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (regular season pricing):
                                Original tour rate: $89.00/adult, $74.00/student, and $61.00/child
Our discounted tour rate: $66.75/adult, $55.50/student, and $45.75/child

Arenal Sky Trek Canopy Tour (peak season pricing):
Original tour rate ($10 surcharge applied): $99.00/adult, $84.00/student, and $71.00/child
Our discounted tour rate ($7.50 surcharge applied): $74.25/adult, $63.00/student, and $53.25/child

                                Pura vida! 🙂
