      Hi Laurel,

Thanks so much for your comment and for trying to get in touch. When you have a moment, would you mind checking your junk mail and trash folders? We’re receiving your messages but I don’t think you’re receiving ours. We sent two emails to you a few weeks ago when you first submitted your order, then another email last Saturday to check in with you about the pending tours because your trip was fast approaching, and then two more emails just a few minutes ago, which were responses to the email you sent us a few minutes beforehand. I suspect that our messages are going straight to a folder within the email system that you use (AOL), but I don’t know which folder. Would you be able to check all of your folders to see if the messages are there?

      Until soon! 🙂

        Hello Chris!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

I can confirm that you’ve landed on the right tour. At the Treetopia Park in Monteverde, the Sky Tram ride, which is now called the Tree Tram Cableway ride, is an aerial tram tour that does not involve any zip-lining or drops/free falls. Similarly at the Treetopia Park in Monteverde, the Sky Walk tour is a guided hanging bridges tour (i.e., a guided walking/hiking tour) that also does not involve any zip-lining or drops/free falls. The zip-lining and drops/free falls are part of the Sky Trek Canopy Tour, so if you wish to avoid those experiences, simply avoid selecting a tour that includes “Sky Trek” in the name.

For your convenience, this is the link to our adult discount for the tram/cableway and hanging bridges experience, which does not include any zip-lines or drops/free falls: https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/sky-walk-hanging-bridges-tour-sky-tram-aerial-tram-ride-adult-monteverde-sky-adventures/

        Pura vida! 🙂

          Hi jobrien2!

Absolutely! Thanks so much for letting us know that you didn’t end up using all of the discounts included in the membership that you initially purchased. I’m happy to offer you a refund of your membership purchase in that case, and I’ve just gone ahead and authorized that through PayPal (you should receive the refund from them shortly). The refund will be a partial refund in the amount of 80.00 to account for the one discount (for Sky Adventures’s tour) that you did end up using. Here’s a breakdown of the refund calculation:

The cost of the membership level that you initially purchased ($99.99)
The cost of the membership level needed to access the one discount for 4 people that you ended up using during your trip ($19.99)

          $99.99 – $19.99 = $80.00

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

          Pura vida!

            Hi again Daniel!

I just addressed this topic in the email I sent you a few minutes ago, but I’ll paste my response below too, in case other travelers stumble across this topic and want to know more about it. 🙂

“For the Springs Resort hot springs pass availability, that property just contacted us on Friday afternoon to confirm that they have reversed their original decision to not offer the public hot springs pass in 2025 and to confirm that the public hot springs pass will be available for another year (at least until December 15th, 2025). This was surprising but wonderful news as it means that we can continue offering our discounts for that property (FYI: we’re currently waiting to hear back from the resort regarding whether the 2025 season hot springs pass will be a 1-day pass or 2-day pass as it was throughout 2024). To confirm, these will be the rates for the Springs Resort hot springs pass for the 2025 season:

Original pass price $110.00/person plus tax
Our discounted rate $82.00/person plus tax

Note that the Springs Resort enforces block out dates, one of which runs until January 6th 2025, so the first date in January that we’d be able to secure passes would be January 7th. ”

              Hey Daniel!

I just answered this question for you via email, where I also provided a fix to the account error you encountered, but I’ll paste my answer to you below too, in case other travelers stumble across your inquiry and want to know my answer. 🙂

“For discounts that are currently out of stock, it’s difficult to say which ones will be available in January. Some are out of stock because we’ve run out, and those discounts likely won’t be available in January as they’ve already sold out for that high season month. Others are out of stock because we’re currently in the process of negotiating our 2025 discounts with our tour operator partners. Sometimes those negotiations get wrapped up by the end of December but other times they drag out into the new year, so things are a bit up in the air at this time. Is there a specific discount or a few specific discounts that you’re curious about? If so, feel free to let me know and I can shed some light on whether they likely will or will not be available in January.”

                Hi Michelle!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 The following are the peak season rates for the Arenal Sky Tram and Sky Walk (Guided) Combo:

                Peak season (2025 season)
$96.00 plus tax per adult, $83.00 plus tax per student, and $72.00 plus tax per child
($108.48 including tax per adult, $93.79 including tax per student, and $81.36 including tax per child)

                Our discounted rates
$72.00 plus tax per adult, $62.25 plus tax per student, and $54.00 plus tax per child
($81.36 including tax per adult, $70.34 including tax per student, and $61.02 including tax per child)

In case you’re interested in using Sky Adventures’s optional round-trip transportation service (to/from La Fortuna hotels), their 2025 season rate is $22.00 plus tax per person.

                Pura vida! 🙂

                  Hi Angela!

Thank you so much for your interest in our discounts! I just sent you an email regarding your recent order and in it I answered your transportation-related question posed above, but I’ll also answer your question here, in the forum, too in case another traveler stumbles across your inquiry and is curious to know the answer.

I can confirm that Hotel Secreto La Fortuna falls within the transportation zone that tour operators based in La Fortuna can service, but that said, Sky Adventures is a tour operator that does not automatically include round-trip transportation to/from any hotels in their tour rates, so they’ll charge you a transportation fee if you’d like to get picked up and dropped off anywhere in La Fortuna, including Hotel Secreto La Fortuna. (That’s the optional “Transportation Add-On” option that you’ll see on the tour’s listing page on our website; the current charge is $19.00/person plus tax.)

Also to confirm, Desafio Adventure Company (the Rio Celeste/Tenorio Volcano National Park Tour operator) is a tour operator that does automatically include round-trip transportation to/from La Fortuna hotels with their tour rates, so transportation to/from Hotel Secreto La Fortuna will be free with their tour.

                      Hi Deb!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

I just sent you an email with information regarding the custom membership that you’d need to have in order to access the discounts that you’d like for your group. As a heads up, Pura Vida! eh? emails have a tendency to go straight to junk mail folders (because so many get sent out daily and they erroneously get marked as spam), so if you didn’t receive the message, please look for it there. 🙂 Of course, if you cannot find it in any folder, don’t hesitate to let me know by reporting back here and I’ll try sending it to you a different way.

I just sent you an email with information regarding the custom membership that you’d need to have in order to access the discounts that you’d like for the group of 24+18 people. Hey Deb!

Thanks so much for checking out the Pura Vida! eh? site!

One quick question for you: Are you trying to log into this website that you’re currently viewing (i.e., the Pura Vida! eh? Inc. website) or the DIY Costa Rica website (i.e., http://www.diycostarica.com?) I ask only because the solution to the problem depends on which website you’re trying to log into. 🙂

If you’re trying to log into this website (i.e., the Pura Vida! eh? website), I believe the problem is that you’re not yet a Pura Vida! eh? member. (I just checked our records of Pura Vida! eh? accounts and cannot see your name listed, although I can confirm that you are currently a DIY Costa Rica member.) I’m wondering if perhaps you’re confusing the two accounts/websites?

To confirm, the two accounts (Pura Vida! eh? and DIY Costa Rica) are separate; each one is tied to a separate website/initiative of ours.

A DIY Costa Rica account provides access to all of the protected
content on our DIY Costa Rica website (https://www.diycostarica.com), including our Costa Rica Destination Tool, our Costa Rica Recommendations Map, and all of our private Costa Rica recommendations.

A Pura Vida! eh? account provides access to the checkout page on our Pura Vida! eh? website (https://puravidaeh.ca), where you can submit an order for discounts.

If you’re not able to successfully log into the Pura Vida! eh? Inc. website (i.e., if you aren’t able to access the checkout page), the problem is likely that you’re trying to enter your DIY Costa Rica account credentials into the Pura Vida! eh? Inc. site by mistake. (To fix that and be able to access the Pura Vida! eh? Inc. site’s discounts, you’ll need to become a Pura Vida! eh? Inc. member.)

If you’re not able to successfully log into the DIY Costa Rica website, there may be an issue with the credentials you’re entering on the log-in page. (On our end, your DIY Costa Rica is active, so you should be able to log into the DIY Costa Rica website without issue.) Unfortunately, I cannot test your DIY Costa Rica account credentials on our end because I don’t know what they are (we aren’t able to see members’ passwords), but what I can do is assign a temporary password to your DIY Costa Rica account if you want, which you can then use to log into your DIY Costa Rica account. Before I go ahead and assign a new, temporary password to your account (doing so will override your original credentials), would you mind confirming with me that you aren’t able to successfully log into the DIY Costa Rica website (not the Pura Vida! eh? website) using your current credentials?

                          Thank you! 🙂

                                Hey Markus!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂

Sky Adventures is a tour operator that will begin the 2025 season on December 16th, 2024. This means that any requests for tours operated by Sky Adventures on or after December 16th, 2024, will be subject to their new 2025 season rates. In addition, Sky Adventures is a tour operator that enforces peak season rates between the period of December 16th, 2024, and January 6th, 2025 (as well as between April 13th, 2025, and April 20th, 2025). So, to clarify, if you’re looking to participate in one of their tours between December 16th of this year and January 6th of next year, their peak season rates for the 2025 season will apply, and if you’re looking to participate in one of their tours on or after January 7th of next year, their regular (i.e., non-peak) season rates for the 2025 season will apply.

For the Arenal Sky Trek, Sky Tram, and Sky Walk (Guided) Combo that you’re considering, below are Sky Adventures’s 2025 season rates (peak and non-peak periods) for the experience, as well as our discounted rates for it.

                                Regular season (non-peak; 2025 season)
$120.00 plus tax per adult, $103.00 plus tax per student, and $86.00 plus tax per child
($135.60 including tax per adult, $116.39 including tax per student, and $97.18 including tax per child)

                                Our discounted rates
$90.00 plus tax per adult, $77.25 plus tax per student, and $64.50 plus tax per child
($101.70 including tax per adult, $87.29 including tax per student, and $72.89 including tax per child)

                                Peak season (2025 season)
$130.00 plus tax per adult, $113.00 plus tax per student, and $96.00 plus tax per child
($146.90 including tax per adult, $127.69 including tax per student, and $108.48 including tax per child)

                                Our discounted rates
$97.50 plus tax per adult, $84.75 plus tax per student, and $72.00 plus tax per child
($110.18 including tax per adult, $95.77 including tax per student, and $81.36 including tax per child)

                                  Hi Jan!

Thanks so much for your interest in our discounts! 🙂 Regarding the Springs Resort, the hot springs pass for that property buys come-and-go access throughout the day, and different members of your group can arrive at different times of the day, if desired.

Quick question for you: On which date are you hoping to visit the Springs Resort? The property has announced that they will no longer be offering public hot springs passes beginning mid-December and in 2025 (the on-site hot springs will be available to overnight guests of the resort only), so unfortunately that means that our discount will no longer be available after that time (unless the resort happens to change their mind and begin offering hot springs passes to the public again).

                                  Until soon!
