PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU DIDN’T RECEIVE THE REGISTRATION LINK OR YOU CAN’T LOG IN [SOLVED]

Hello future Costa Rica travelers!

From time to time, we receive inquiries from travelers who either didn’t receive the Pura Vida! eh? account registration link following payment through PayPal, or who aren’t able to successfully log in to their Pura Vida! eh? account. If you’re experiencing either of these two issues, please see the solutions provided below.

Note that if you try the following solution(s) and still aren’t able to access our website for some reason, we will happily refund the entirety of your PayPal payment. 🙂

If you didn’t receive the registration link:

It’s likely that the registration email, which contains the registration link, is sitting in your email system’s junk mail folder or trash bin. Because the registration email is an automated message that is triggered by a PayPal payment, and because the registration email contains a link, several email providers flag the message as spam and won’t deliver it to your inbox. Most will still allow the message to reach your junk mail folder or trash bin, though.

It’s also possible that our online messaging system is busy sending out multiple emails (or your email provider is busy determining if our message is spam) and the registration email has entered a sending/receiving queue. When this happens, you should still receive the registration link, albeit later than a few minutes after you make the payment through PayPal. In our experience, and for some reason unbeknownst to us, gmail email accounts seem to receive registration emails later than other email systems.

On fewer occasions, the registration email will be blocked entirely or end up lost in cyberspace. If this happens, don’t fret. We can easily register your Pura Vida! eh? account for you on our end. All we need to receive from you in order to do so is the username you’d like to associate with your Pura Vida! eh? account. If you provide us with this information via our website’s forum (create a new forum topic here), we’ll happily set up your account for you.

If you aren’t able to log in:

Please double-check that you’re a Pura Vida! eh? member, not only a DIY Costa Rica member. DIY Costa Rica is a sister project of ours, and it’s easy to confuse that project with Pura Vida! eh?. To confirm, the two projects, their respective websites, and the accounts required to access each are different:

• a DIY Costa Rica account provides access to all of the protected content on our DIY Costa Rica website (https://www.diycostarica.com), including our Costa Rica Destination Tool.
• a Pura Vida! eh? account provides access to the checkout page on our Pura Vida! eh? website (https://puravidaeh.ca) where you can submit an order for discounts.

If you’re not able to log in to Pura Vida! eh? (i.e., if you aren’t able to access the checkout page), especially if you’re trying to enter credentials (i.e., the username and password) that are associated with a DIY Costa Rica account, the problem is likely that you’re not yet a Pura Vida! eh? member. (Note that you may still be a DIY Costa Rica member; you can be a member of Pura Vida! eh? only, DIY Costa Rica only, or both.) If this is the case, you can quickly become a Pura Vida! eh? member here. (Please keep an eye on your junk mail folder and trash bin following payment through PayPal because the account registration email may end up there.) Once you’ve registered your Pura Vida! eh? account, you’ll be able to log in, access the checkout page, and submit an order for discounts.

Alternatively, if you’re having trouble logging in to your DIY Costa Rica account over on our DIY Costa Rica website, please let us know via our website’s forum (create a new forum topic here) and we can reset your DIY Costa Rica account using a temporary password that will let you in.
