        Hi
        I have 2 questions!
I saw a monteverde day trip from playas del coco on your list of additional discounts… do youbthink this could be used as a pick up/drop off transportation option?
And I can’t see any tortuguero tours in your lists. Any chance they might get added?
        Muchas gracias!

          Hey Sam!

Quick question: When do you plan to travel? We are looking at adding some Tortuguero tour discounts to our site, but that may not be for a while.

For your question about the Monteverde tour to/from Playas del Coco, just to clarify your question, do you mean can Playas del Coco be used as a pick-up and drop-off place for the Monteverde Tour? Or do you mean can the Monteverde tour to/from Playas del Coco be used as a tour that you take from one destination to the next and don’t return to the departing location (i.e., can you get picked up in Playas del Coco and dropped off in Monteverde, or vice versa)?

          Until soon!

            Hi!
            Thank you for your reply.
We will be travelling in mid August this year.

And we would hope to be picked up in Playas del Coco and dropped off at Monteverde after the tour. I can’t see an itinerary for that tour, either. What does it include?

            Muchas gracias!

              Hey Sam!

Thanks so much for your response. 🙂

If you’re planning on staying in Monteverde afterward (i.e., not returning to Playas del Coco), I’d actually advise against taking the day tour to Monteverde from Playas del Coco, to save you a ton of money. With the Monteverde day tour option from Playas del Coco, it is possible to stay in Monteverde afterward (and not return to Playas del Coco), but the cost of the tour will include transportation back to Playas del Coco, so you’ll essentially be paying for that service that you don’t use. The itinerary for the day includes a trip to the Selvatura Park to tour the hanging bridges and check out some of the on-site exhibits there (the butterfly garden and reptile exhibit), but you can just as easily book your own one-way transportation service from Playas del Coco to Monteverde (such as a shared shuttle service), then plan to visit the Selvatura Park once you get to Monteverde. (Those two items–shuttle transportation and activities at Selvatura–will be much cheaper than the cost of the day tour from Playas del Coco.) It’s also worth mentioning that the day trip to Monteverde to/from Playas del Coco is geared more toward groups (I’m not sure how many people you plan to travel with) and requires a minimum of 6 people to run. When that minimum number of 6 people isn’t met, the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 people who want to do the tour need to pay more to cover the difference, which can quickly make the entire day trip experience a lot more expensive. 🙁

              Pura vida!

                Hi Nikki,
That is so helpful, thank you.
I take it the Tortuguera discounts will be added after August?
                Thank you so much again,
                Sam
