        Hi,

Appreciate all the useful information on the website. Well done!

We are about to leave for 12 days in Costa Rica.
There is a requirement to have COVID insurance and the ones from Costa Rica would be close to $500 for a family of four for 12 days.
What is your recommendation on this topic?

        Thanks

        Per and family

          Hello Per (and family)!

It’s great to hear that you’ve selected Costa Rica for your upcoming trip!

About the insurance, unfortunately, it does add up quickly. This website (https://www.visitcostarica.com/en/costa-rica/planning-your-trip/entry-requirements), which is managed by the Costa Rican Tourism Board, explains that you can use insurance purchased outside of Costa Rica if you prefer, so long as it provides the coverage you need, and so long as you’re able to obtain appropriate proof of the insurance coverage before coming to Costa Rica. Maybe this would end up being a less expensive option for your family?

Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels,

          Pura vida! 🙂
