About the tour
Tour departure/return location: La Fortuna/Arenal
Tour times: 8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, or 5:00pm
Tour duration: Approximately 2-2.5 hours
Tour includes: Aerial tram ride, canopy ziplining tour, and guide
- Lunch and/or round-trip transportation to/from La Fortuna hotels is/are included when selected and reserved in advance; see the tour options listed above for option pricing (hotels that fall outside of the regular transportation zone may have an additional fee; leave us a comment at the bottom of this page if you wish us to confirm the transportation amount that would apply to/from your specific hotel)
Tour operator’s description:
The Sky Tram gondolas rise smoothly through the rain forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. This tour is perfect for people who want to take a different approach on admiring nature, without much physical effort but still be on spot where natures exhibits all its magic. On tour you will be attended by a bilingual guide who will point out different characteristics of the flora and fauna and other interesting facts. The Sky Tram travel up the mountains to arrive in a wide observation platform on the highest point of the reserve, where you can enjoy the view and also have the possibility to walk a short trail.

- A short trail is available where you arrive at the top of the mountain for even more nature exploring.

Sky Trek is a thrilling zip line circuit that’s located in both of our parks, Monteverde and La Fortuna. Your tour will start riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

- This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run. Please contact us to inquire about tour availability if your travel group is comprised of less than the tour operator’s required minimum number of participants.
Minimum/maximum age/weight/height/other requirements
- Children must be at least 5 years old to participate in the Sky Trek tour as offered as part of the Sky Trek Canopy Tour and Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride.
- Individuals must be less than 300lbs to participate in the Sky Trek tour as offered as part of the Sky Trek Canopy Tour and Sky Tram Aerial Tram Ride.
