CANOA AVENTURA’S RESERVATION POLICIES

Payment policies

The cancelation policies corresponding to the tours of other activities of the zone are subject to the policy of the corresponding tour operator.

Tours that include the Tabacon Hot Springs must be canceled no later than 20 days prior to the tour date to receive a full refund.

Tours that include the Ecotermales Hot Springs must be canceled no later than 7 days prior to the tour date to receive a full refund.

For other Canoa Aventura tours (i.e., tours that do not include visits to the Tabacon Hot Springs or the Ecotermales Hot Springs), cancelations made up to 24 hours prior to the tour date receive a full refund.

If a Canoa Aventura tour (excluding tours that include visits to the Tabacon Hot Springs or the Ecotermales Hot Springs) is canceled within 24 hours of the tour date, a 50% refund will be awarded.

Canoa Aventura can offer refunds one of two ways: through personal banks (you must contact your bank to request the refund, which Canoa Aventura will approve) or through PayPal. If you request the refund through PayPal, PayPal (not Canoa Aventura) will charge you a commission for the transaction (the commission amount is determined by and can only be confirmed by PayPal).

Tours are not canceled because of rain and refunds are not provided for tours canceled by travelers last-minute because of rain. If for any reason Canoa Aventura has to suspend an activity for customer safety in the face of weather or external situations, we will offer to change the same activity for the following days (first option), otherwise, we will offer to change the reservation for an activity of similar value (second option). In case you can not modify the reservation, a 100% refund will be issued via PayPal.

In the event of a request for cancelation due to sickness, we require a medical note to properly assess whether the cancelation will be permitted without penalty.

Other policies

All tours are operated with a minimum of 2 pax, if a single person wants to do it, they must pay the equivalent of two people.

All reservations, modifications, or cancelations must be made in writing (via email), even if the reservation was made by telephone.

If you plan to participate in a river activity, please indicate the size of vest you’ll need.

If you have any disability or medical conditions, please inform Canoa Aventura.

Canoa Aventura includes transport in Zone 1 which covers from the Parque de Fortuna westward to the Tabacon Hotel (excluding The Springs for which there is an additional charge) to the south to the town of El Jauri, north to Hotel Villas Eco Arenal and east to the village El Tanque which is 7 kilometers away. If the pick-up is outside of this area, an additional fee is charged for transportation.

For any Cano Negro tour, all travelers must bring their passport with them during the tour given its proximity to Nicaragua. A copy of the passport is permitted, so long as it clearly shows the identification page(s) and the page where the Costa Rica entry stamp is displayed.
