Tour operator’s description: During this tour an expert naturalist guide will take you through the private nature reserve and introduce you to its rich biodiversity. During the walk you will learn more about the fauna and flora of the area as your guide will share his knowledge with you and show you all kinds of species from tiny insects and frogs to snakes, birds and if you’re lucky, the peculiar Ocelot. You can enjoy this unforgettable tour in all safety. This walk is a fun and educative option to learn more about the forest and the local environment and enjoy the close contact with nature. The trail makes a loop with a total length of 3100 meters within the mountainous area. Along these three kilometers of trails you will be immersed in the divers fauna and flora of the rainforest and admire exotic animals, colorful birds and tropical plant species. While you’re walking along the trails, the fascinating world of the tropical forest will open to you. Our goal is to offer you a safe and sustainable way to enjoy the abundant natural resources and at the same time protect it for our future generations.

- Visit 7 regular bridges and 3 hanging bridges.
Accessible Trail
- Suitable for people with disabilities
- Part of the trail allows the transit of wheelchair assisted.
- Main Travel: 1.5 km, * optional 250mtrs to wheelchair.
- Maximum Slope 3% in lower, 3% rise.
- Low degree of effort
- Tour duration: 25 min without a guide, 45 min with guide.
- Visit 6 fixed bridges, * optional 2 hanging bridges.

- This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to run. Please contact us to inquire about tour availability if your travel group is comprised of less than the tour operator’s required minimum number of participants.
- Closed shoes are required. Sandals or others open shoes are not allowed.
- Main features of the trails: no steps, security guardrails, surface in non-slip material.

Hello, I will be staying with my parents at Secrets Papagayo and we wanted to do a Hanging Bridges or a combination Hanging Bridges/Arenal Volcano excursion. Would you be able to provide me with information on and reserve with a tour company that offers such trips. Unfortunately the tour described above would not be an option for you since the tour is run to/from the La Fortuna/Arenal region of the country (i.e., it is a tour designed for those who opt to visit/stay in the La Fortuna/Arenal), however we do offer a number of tour options that run to/from the Papagayo region of the country which would be available to you at the Secrets Papagayo resort. Specifically, since you noted an interest in hanging bridges, you may be interested in the 1-Day Monteverde Tour. Alternatively, since you noted a possible interest in visiting La Fortuna/Arenal, there are a number of Arenal day tours (that differ according to the activities included with each) that run to/from Papagayo. What is the difference in Option A and Option C besides lunch. Is it the same route? In Option C do you get to do all 3 trails listed or do you only get to pick one.

Great questions! The only difference between all three options (option A, option B, and option C) is the tour operator; option A is run by Desafio Adventure Company, option B is run by Canoa Aventura, and option C is run by the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. In all three cases, the bridges visited are those that exist at the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park and the routes/bridges are the same. With option A or option B we offer the possibility to run the tour with two of La Fortuna’s most well-known and well-loved tour operators. With option C we offer the possibility to run the tour with one of the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park’s onsite guides. Some travellers have a company preference across the three (which is why we offer each), however apart from the tour operator used, the hanging bridges site/tour is the same. Also to confirm (since I noted you mentioned lunch in your question), lunch is not included with any of the three hanging bridge tour options.
